Mid-Prairie graduate Ryan Errthum has qualified for the Boston Marathon after running a personal best in the 26.2-mile race of 2:41:17 at the Chicago Marathon.
The 2020 Boston Marathon qualifing standard for the 18-34 men’s age group is three hours, but with the number of applications, it became 2:58:21. That put Errthum well under the requirement.
Errthum is a 2015 graduate of Mid-Prairie and currently a senior mechanical engineering student at Purdue University.
