Highland picked up a 13-2 road win at Winfield-Mount Union on June 29.
After a scoreless first innings, the Huskies scored in every inning to roll to victory.
The Wolves’ only two runs came in the bottom of the sixth inning.
Trevor McFarland earned the win for Highland, striking out 10, walking two, and giving up three hits and no runs over five innings.
Mason McFarland had two stolen bases and two runs scored.
Cael Yeggy had a double and a single with two RBIs.
Connor Grinstead and Trevor McFarland drove in two runs each.
June 30
Highland 15
Columbus 3
The Huskies dispatched Columbus 15-3 at home in five innings on June 30.
The Wildcats got on the scoreboard first with two first-inning runs.
In the bottom of the second, the Huskies exploded for 10 runs and never looked back.
Mason McFarland earned the win for Highland, striking out four, walking one, while giving up four hits and one earned run.
Cael Yeggy had a homerun, three RBIs and two runs scored for the Huskies.
Chase Schultz had a single and a double, driving in three runs and scoring one.
July 3
Keota 6
Highland 4
Highland suffered a 6-4 home loss to Keota on July 3.
Highland jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the second inning, but Keota tied it up in the top of the third.
The Huskies scored twice in the bottom of the fourth and held the 4-2 lead until the top of the seventh, when the Eagles put four runs on the board.
Highland was not able to make anything happen in their last at-bat.
Bill Laughlin had a pair of RBIs for the Huskies.
Luke Miller had two hits and an RBI.
