Martin Glenn White was born Dec. 30, 1946, in Washington, Iowa, the son of Glenn and Amy (Martin) White. He graduated with the first class of the Mid-Prairie High school before attending Muscatine College.
Martin joined the Army on Nov. 21, 1968, where he served two tours in the Vietnam War before being discharged Nov. 13, 1974. Martin worked for Delicious Foods for 25 years as a sales manager before retiring in 2012.
After Martin retired, he enjoyed helping Chuck Martin out on the cattle farm in rural Williamsburg. Martin also enjoyed old western movies hunting, fishing, and being on the farm.
Martin passed away Sunday, Oct. 15, 2023, at the Washington County Hospital at the age of 76 years.
Martin is survived by two sisters: Crystal (Gary) Tschantz of Davenport and Cynthia (Craig) Schlabaugh of Wellman; and a niece: Kelly (Andy Levy) Tschantz.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
