The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawks softball team is still searching for their first win after dropping a pair of games last week. They currently stand at 0-4.
Durant 15
Mid-Prairie 5
Mid-Prairie fell to Durant 15-5 at home on June 24.
The Golden Hawks jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the first inning, but the Wildcats came back with two runs to take a 2-1 lead in the third.
Mid-Prairie tied the game in the top of the fourth, but in the bottom of the inning, Durant took the lead again after scoring four runs.
Mid-Prairie closed the gap to 6-5 with a three-run fifth inning, but Durant pulled away, scoring three runs in each of the fifth, sixth and seventh innings.
Regina 7
Mid-Prairie 3
The Golden Hawks lost to Iowa City Regina 7-3 on the road on June 25.
Mid-Prairie was blanked in the first five innings of the game, while the Regals put up a 7-0 lead.
The Golden Hawks scored three runs in the sixth for their only runs of the game.
