Work together in unity and pray

Dear Editor:

The flags were so pretty the other week that were put up for Memorial Day. Thanks to all the people who put them up. One morning as I was looking at them and the wind was blowing, I noticed they were all blowing in the same direction. They were in unity together. I thought, how I wish our nation would flow together like the flags do. The devil is trying to destroy our nation big time.

Christians need to read that verse in the Bible that says, “If my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray, and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:14.

That verse is speaking about the church. We need to repent. Going to church is not going to save us, but it is having a personal relationship with Jesus that will save us. Each one must realize who we are living for, regardless of our different opinions. Break down the walls of denomination and divisions by color – like the black and white or whatever our color is – we all have red blood. It is what is in our hearts that makes the difference.

All these things that are happening, tells me that the end is near for the Lord to come back. Earthquakes, storms, floods, the virus, riots, the homes breaking down, morality out of control, I just saw on TV that the Jewish people are going back home to Israel – praise God, that is a big sign.

The gospel is going out all over the world. Let us get together as a soldier for the Lord’s army and be on the right side with the Holy Spirit leading and guiding us. Let us pray for President Trump. He is in a very hard place and we are told to pray for our leaders and also for the peace of Jerusalem. He isn’t perfect, just like we aren’t perfect, but he is for religious freedom and the other side wants to get rid of our freedom, if you listen to the way they talk. There is such a division in our government.

We need to honor our president and not talk about him, but pray for him every day. We need to hate the sin and not the sinner and pray for them, too. I want all people to be saved. I pray that way every day.

I used to sing the children’s song, “Jesus Loves the Little Children.” The words say “Jesus loves the little children, all the children of the world, red, brown, yellow, black and white, they are precious in his sight.” That is the way I feel, too. So I would like if we all could work together in unity with the Holy Spirit leading us. Pray for revival, that is my prayer, and let it begin with me. God bless America and all of you, too.
