“A Magical Journey to the Washington County Fair” was the theme of the 4-H hay bale decorating contest at the Washington County Fair this year. 11 clubs decorated bales with a variety of magical creatures, wands, and magician’s hats.
First place went to the Bows & Bullets for their light up horse drawn carriage entitled “Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo”. Second place was awarded to the Horse & Pony 4-H Club for the animals popping out of their magic hat. Third place went to the Franklin Cubs with their scene from Shrek entitled “I’m a BELIEVER in the MAGIC of the FAIR”.
This was a great way for 4-H club members to work on a project together that shares their enthusiasm for the fair and showcases their artistic creativity. Fairgoers enjoy finding the decorated bales throughout the fairgrounds and naming their favorites. Congratulations to all clubs that participated!
