Aaron R. Slaughter, 24, of Lone Tree passed away Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2024, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Visitation will be held Thursday, Sept. 26, 2024, from 4-8 p.m., at the Snyder & Hollenbaugh Funeral & Cremation Services of Lone Tree. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 27, 2024, at the Lone Tree American Legion. Burial will be in the Lone Tree Cemetery. Following the committal, a time of food and fellowship will be held at the Lone Tree American Legion. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established at the funeral home in memory of Aaron. Aaron Raymond Slaughter was born Jan. 6, 2000, in Iowa City, the son of Randy and Jananne (Lauber) Slaughter. He was a 2018 graduate of Lone Tree High School. Aaron worked for Ruess Masonry. He was an avid Iowa Hawkeye fan and enjoyed hunting, fishing, hunting mushrooms, working on his small farm raising goats and chickens and being in the outdoors, but most of all, Aaron loved to spend time with family, friends and his dog, Reese.
Aaron will be deeply missed by his parents: Randy and Jananne Slaughter of Lone Tree; brother: Eric Slaughter and fiancé, Lacy Stover of Lone Tree; sister: Emma Slaughter of Lone Tree; maternal grandmother: Fleeta Lauber of Winfield; and many other relatives.
Aaron was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents: Gary and Marla Slaughter; and maternal grandfather: Harry Lauber.
