Alice B. (Wagamon) Sitler, 98, of Georgia, formerly of Iowa, died Saturday, November 13, 2021, at the Presbyterian Home in Quitman, Georgia. Her body has been cremated and a graveside service will be held at Wellman Public Cemetery in the spring.

Alice Bernice Sitler was born May 25, 1923, in Wellman, Iowa,  the daughter of James E. and Pearl (Webster) Wagamon.  She attended Keota and Wellman schools.  On May 10, 1941, she was united in marriage to Carrol Sitler in Kalona, Iowa.   

She worked at Oral B Laboratories in Iowa City for 30 plus years. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, crocheting, baking, reading her Bible, listening to Christian music and game shows. Alice was a loving mom, grandma, great-grandma, and great-great-grandma, who could light the world with her beautiful smile.

Survivors include three children: Mary (Bruce) Aubin of Valdosta, Georgia, Shirley Sitler of Des Moines, James Sitler of Olympia, Washington; eight grandchildren; 24   great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren; sister: Virginia P. (Wagamon) Dunton of Marengo, Iowa.

Preceding Alice in death were her parents; her son: David; granddaughter: Rachelle; grandson: Lucas; great-grandson: Steven; great-granddaughter: Victoria Alicen; and her husband: Carrol.

Peterseim Funeral Home of Kalona and McLane Funeral Home of Valdosta, Georgia assisted the family.
