The annual omelet breakfast, sponsored by the Kalona Rotary Club, served 375 people and raised $l,500 for the Kalona Public Library. Serving omelets at the event in the Kalona Chamber of Commerce Building was club member Gary Fisher.
Donors helped make the event successful: Twin County Dairy (cheese), Riverland Poultry (eggs), Johnson County Dairy Association (milk), Kalona Graphics (tickets), Kalona News (advertising). Rolls were from the Kalona Bakery and other items from JW’s Foods.
