WASHINGTON
Arraignment for Keegan Gingerich, 21, of Kalona has been set for Friday, March 22, at 9 a.m. The order came through in the morning Friday, March 15.
Gingerich faces four felony charges as the result of complaints filed with the court with an offense date of Jan. 24, 2024: Sexual Exploitation of a Minor – Cause to Engage in Act; Stalking – Person Under 18 Years of Age; Stalking – Using Technological Device; and Purchase/Possess Depiction of Minor in Sex Act 1st Offense. In addition, he is charged with Invasion of Privacy, an aggravated misdemeanor.
No trial date has been set yet and will depend on whether the defendant waives or demands a speedy trial at the time of the arraignment. Jeffrey Powell has filed an appearance as Gingrich’s attorney.
Every person accused of any crime is considered innocent until proven guilty.
