Services were Thursday, May 20, in St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Hills, with the Reverend Louis Leonhardt officiating. Burial was in St. Stanislaus Cemetery in Hills.

Born August 4, 1925, in Sharon Center, she was the daughter of Hugh and Emma (Grout) Madden. She married Donald Schott June 22, 1949, in St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Iowa City.

Bette Schott, 73, of Hills, died Monday, May 17, 1999, in Lone Tree Health Care Center following a brief illness.

Services were Thursday, May 20, in St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Hills, with the Reverend Louis Leonhardt officiating. Burial was in St. Stanislaus Cemetery in Hills.

Born August 4, 1925, in Sharon Center, she was the daughter of Hugh and Emma (Grout) Madden. She married Donald Schott June 22, 1949, in St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Iowa City.

A beautician and housewife, Mrs. Schott was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Hills.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Gregory and Mary Schott of Iowa City and Jeffrey and Janice Schott of Stillman Valley, Illinois; six grandchildren, Kelly and Ben of Iowa City and Jessica, Nichole, Christina and Whitney of Stillman Valley; and one sister, Ruby Roberts of Sun City, Arizona.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one sister and one brother.

A general memorial has been established.

Sorden Funeral Home, Lone Tree, in charge of arrangements.
