In a unanimous vote Tuesday, the Washington County Supervisors approved offering Katrina Altenhofen of Washington, a member of the department, the temporary interim director position for the Washington County Ambulance Services. The decision followed a discussion that included considering someone entirely outside the county or a local person already acquainted with both the county and the ambulance services.
Supervisor Jack Seward, Jr. said he would call Altenhofen, especially to see about having a written agreement and an “immediate” start time. The agreement will be on next week’s meeting. Prior to the vote, the board discussed setting the wage at $55 per hour.
In a related item, the board also approved hiring Fitch & Associates LLC of Platte City, Missouri for review of the claims and billing department of the Washington County Ambulance Services. Total cost is $16,500 to be in two payments.
It also discussed various job descriptions for the department prior to approval.
