WASHINGTON
A Bond Review Hearing for Keegan Gingerich, 21, of Kalona, was held on Friday, Feb. 16 at which bond was reduced to $52,000 cash or surety. Bail was originally set for $100,000 cash only at the time of his arrest on Feb. 1.
As of Monday morning, Feb. 19, Gingerich was still in custody at the Washington County Jail. No plea has yet been entered, and the matter will be scheduled for Arraignment at a later date.
Gingerich faces four felony charges as the result of complaints filed with the court with an offense date of Jan. 24, 2024: Sexual Exploitation of a Minor – Cause to Engage in Act; Stalking – Person Under 18 Years of Age; Stalking – Using Technological Device; and Purchase/Possess Depiction of Minor in Sex Act 1st Offense. In addition, he is charged with Invasion of Privacy, an aggravated misdemeanor.
Every person accused of any crime is considered innocent until proven guilty.
