A variety of businesses and organizations in North English have been planning and coordinating a number of fun Christmas activities for everyone on Saturday, December 2. The following events will be happening:
7 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. - The EV History Center will open with coffee and
conversation. All are invited to view the new Veterans Room, register
for a door prize, and relax with some treats to celebrate the holidays.
8 a.m. -10:30 a.m. - Breakfast with Santa will be sponsored by the
Community Club at Knoll Ridge with the Christmas Décor Auction
ending at 11:00. (Please pick up your winning items by noon.) Also,
the lighting contest will be held on Friday evening like always with
judging during Breakfast with Santa.
9 a.m. - noon - Grimm Real Estate & Insurance will have a hot chocolate bar.
9 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. - Sharon’s Shop will be open for you that day.
9 a.m. - noon - Southeast Iowa Insurance will be celebrating the season. Stop by and say, “Hi!”
9 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. - Meet our New Attorneys as Grant Taylor and Josh Kraushaar will be at the Elwood, Elwood, and Buchanan Law Office to meet and greet members of our community. Homemade Christmas treats will be provided.
9 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. - A Holiday Vendor Craft & Fair will be at EV Jr/Sr High School.
9 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. - Glaze the Galaxy will have free cookie decorating, door prizes, and special deals on ceramics.
9 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. - NWA Goat Milk Soap will have great Christmas baskets.
9 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. - SevenK plans to have coffee and hot chocolate specials as well as a gift basket giveaway. They are also planning for a special guest, the Grinch. to be at the Coffee Shop.
9 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. - Salt and Light Market will feature specials and pre-made gift packages.
9 a.m. - Main Street Pub will be having a Bloody Mary and Mimosa bar with the events of the day.
11 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. - The EV History Center will sponsor a Christmas Home Tour at the historic Ken and Barbara Brown residence at 113 S. Main St. Admission is free. Donations are accepted.
1 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. - Financial Service Group. Come check out our office and the open spaces in our building for your own Main Street business venture!
1 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. - The Community Center plans to have the Center open for a place for warmth and refreshments. They will have free hot chocolate, hot cider, and trail mixes. Then, they will also have cookies for sale. They will be adding a free edible craft for the kiddos during this time, also.
1 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. - Garcia Carpet will have a store-wide sale and refreshments for the whole family.
4:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. - The Community Center will have a “Soup and Loaded Baked Potato Supper.” Free will donation.
