Public Hearing of the Kalona City Council for the Proposed Property Tax Levy for Budget 2025-2025. A motion was made by Spitzer and seconded by G Schmidt approving the agenda, with all voting yes.
Council members present: Bender, J Schmidt, G Schmidt, Spitzer, and Beisheim.
6:30 PM Public Hearing for Proposed Property for Budget Year 2025-2026, was open.
Leroy Nida, a Kalona resident, was present to ask the Council what their plan was going forward with the tax changes that are in discussion at the State level.
Dave Flemming, a Kalona resident, was present to ask for an explanation of what the tax rate is going to be covering. The council asked staff to explain the proposed Budget.
At 6:52 PM, a motion was made by Bender and seconded by J Schmidt to close the public hearing. With all voting yes, the hearing was closed.
The meeting was adjourned.
