Stan Carlson was elected chairman of the Washington County Conservation Board Thursday, with Jim Miksch elected vice-chairman and Ray Jones, secretary.
During the meeting at the Washingotn County Courthouse, the board approved:
•compensation board members will visit each municipal office prior to the next board meeting set for December 13 at 5 p.m.
•each elected official will prepare a letter stating three or four significant changes that have happened in their office during the last year and the goals or changes anticipated for the next year.
•asked that elected officials should note the amount they believe their salary should be.
The board sets salaries for the county’s elected officials.
