One hundred thirty couples enjoyed in the special Me & My VIP Sweetheart Dance held Saturday night, Feb. 17, hosted by the 4-H County Council at the KC Hall in Washington.
The event was open to the public for kindergarten to fourth grade youth and special adult VIPs (Very Important Person) in their lives. Participants were dressed up, and fathers, mothers, grandparents, neighbors, older siblings and more filled the KC Hall with a sweet kind of hustle and bustle.
The committee was honored to have record breaking attendance at a new venue to accommodate more couples. Each couple posed at the photo booth and was able to take home a framed keepsake photo. This night of special memories included dancing, refreshments, corsages, and fun.
Proceeds from the event will be used in other 4-H hosted events in the coming year.
Many pictures from the Me & My VIP Sweetheart Dance are posted on Facebook at “Washington County 4-H – Iowa.”
