Mid-Prairie competed in the River Valley Conference Championship Cross-Country meet at the Iowa City Kickers Soccer Complex on Oct. 10.
The Golden Hawks found great success at this meet with the girls team winning the team championship with 49 points. The boys team placed third with 85 points.
Senior Danielle Hostetler led the girls with a second place finish in 19:59. Junior Emmett Swartzentruber led the boys with a first place finish in 16:31.
Swartzentruber was also named the boys RVC Runner of the Year and Mid-Prairie coach Jeremey Meyers was named RVC Coach of the Year.
