Governor Kim Reynolds gave notice of a new District Associate Judge position created in Judicial Sub-District 8A. The application deadline closed at 4:00 p.m. on December 29, 2022.
The following candidates have submitted their applications: Patricia Jean Lipski, Patrick John McAvan, Terri Alayne Menninga, and Ellen Ruth Ramsey-Kacena.
Interviews will be conducted on January 4, 2023, at the Keokuk County Courthouse, 101 South Main, Sigourney, Iowa. The interviews will be open for public observation and listening. The public shall not be allowed to ask questions or make comments. Applicant submissions and materials will be open to the public.
Prior to January 4, 2023, the public will be permitted to submit comments or recommendations regarding the qualifications of an applicant by email to cathy.reck@iowacourts.gov.
The Commission will submit the names of two nominees to Governor Reynolds, who will then appoint one within 30 days.
