Donald Loyd McCormick was born July 30, 1931, in Utleyville, Colorado, the son of Raymond Loyd McCormick and Kate Fern (Hedgecoke) McCormick. Don worked for the Dept. of Motor Vehicles in Los Angeles for 16 years. Don married Mary Louise Bower on Nov. 8, 1958 in South Gate, California.
He was sent to co-pastor a church in Edmonton, AB Canada from 1976-1979, then moved to Santa Barbara, California, and then to Wellman. Don was a member of the Church of the Living Word for 67 years in California, Edmonton and at Shiloh.
Don passed away Thursday, Sept. 14, 2023, at Parkview Manor in Wellman at the age of 92.
Don is survived by his two sons: Donald McCormick and son Donnie; and Phil McCormick; one brother: Roy McCormic; along with several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife Mary; four sisters: Fern, Ardis, Norpha Dean and Jewel; and his parents.
