Lucas Yutzy, second from left, played John Newton, a reformed slave ship captain who penned “Amazing Grace” in the mid-18th century. Other stories included those of the Reverend Fawcett, who wrote “Blest Be The Tie That Binds”, Fanny Crosby who wrote “Blessed Assurance” and the stories behind “The Solid Rock,” “More Love to Thee,” “Stand Up for Jesus,” “Jesus Paid It All” and “It Is Well”.
