Edith McKinley, 87, of Wellman, died Friday, December 10, 1999, in Parkview Manor after having Alzheimers for several years.
Mrs. McKinley donated her body to the University of Iowa. No services will be held.
Born September 24, 1912, in Chicago, Illinois, she was the daughter of Frank and Barbara (Cizek) Kozelka.
She graduated from Lawrence College with a degree in geology and also attended Chicago Theological Seminary.
She was united in marriage to George O. A. McKinley June 21, 1938 in Libertyville, Illinois. The couple lived in Algonquin, Illinois; Sandwich, Illinois; Prophetstown, Illinois; South Milwaukee, Wisconsin; Charles City; O’Clair, Wisconsin; and Phoenix, Arizona for 30 years and lived in Wellman since 1994.
Mrs. McKinley was a homemaker and a member of the United Church of Christ, P.E.O. and Kappa Delta Sorority.
Survivors include a daughter, Mary Parrott of Minneapolis, Minnesota; a son, Charles McKinley of Newport, Virginia; five grandchildren; a brother, Robert Kozelka of Peoria, Illinois; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three brothers and one sister.
Powell Funeral Home of Wellman in charge of arrangements.
