Funeral services for Eldora S. Yoder were held Wednesday, March 1, 2023, the Tobias Yoder residence, Kalona. Burial was in the Peter Miller Cemetery in rural Kalona. The Beatty Peterseim Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Eldora S. (Mast) Yoder was born Nov. 3, 1930, in Johnson County, the daughter of Sam D. and Katie (Gingerich) Mast. She was baptized in the Old Order Amish Church in her youth and remained a faithful member until her death. She was united in marriage to Chriss R. Yoder Oct. 25, 1951, in Kalona. They lived in matrimony 67 years. Eldora died unexpectedly at her home from complications of dementia. 

She is survived by six children: Cephas C. Yoder and Verna (Perry) Bender of Kalona, Edna (Perry T.) Miller of Windsor, Missouri, Wesley (Verlene) Yoder of Brighton, Samuel (Norma) Yoder and Louise (Tobias) Yoder of Kalona; daughter-in-law: Mrs. Bertha Yoder of Kalona; 56 grandchildren; 197 great-grandchildren; four brothers: Alvin (Dorothy) Mast of Salisbury, Maryland, Lloyd Mast, Fred (Mary Pearl) Mast and Mahlon (Ruthanna) Mast all of Kalona; seven sisters: Mrs. Lizzie Yoder and Dorothy Mast of Kalona, Magdalena (David) Bender of Aylmer, Ontario, Canada, Clara (Elmer T.) Miller, Freda (Monroe C.) Miller, Esther Mast and Edna (Henry T.) Miller all of Kalona.

Preceding Eldora in death were her parents; her husband: Chriss on Dec. 28, 2018; son: Mahlon Yoder; daughter-in-law: Emma Yoder; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three sisters: Alta, Verna and one stillborn; one sister-in-law: Vesta; and one brother-in-law: Melvin.
