National EMS Week

Thank you to all our First Responders!

Posted

This week, May 15 to May 23 is the National EMS Week, where we celebrate and thank paramedics, EMTs, and the entire EMS workforce for their service to the community. It is a time to honor the sacrifices and contributions of those who work on the medical front line.

There are many in this community who have dedicated their time and effort to helping people in need or crisis. From as young as 18-year-olds to 40-year-olds, these individuals have learned what it takes to serve and preserve life during emergencies. EMS is more than taking an ambulance to the hospital. It’s a team, a system created to provide medical care for every type of situation. From communication networks, trauma centers, and 911 dispatch, every role is essential to an Emergency Medical Service team.

If you know any local EMS workers, be sure to thank them for their profound commitment to this community and others too.
