Dale Engel of Kalona was recently awarded certification as a Vitalist from the School of Natural Healing, Division of Herbal Education. Engel and his wife, Betty are the owners of foods Naturally.
As part of the Vitalist Program, which is a home-study course, Engel learned preventative medicine through studying the basic principles of natural healing: cause of disease, nutrition, elimination therapies and herbal cleansing for the entire system. Training also included proper application of herbs and simple therapies.
He is currently participating in the school’s Herbalist Program, the second step in the three-phase course of study to become a Master of Herbology.
