Fairl Dee Ulin was born March 31, 1927, in Muldrow. Oklahoma, the daughter of Joseph and Maddie (Prewett) Ruckman. She graduated from Muldrow High School. She was married to Arlo M. Kelley. To this union they were blessed with two daughters. Arlo passed away in 1974. Fairl then married Cedrick Ulin.

Fairl worked at Fanny Mays in Chicago, was a hostess at several local restaurants and hotels and at Sweeting Catering. She lived in Oklahoma, Chicago, Wellman and Riverside. She enjoyed NASCAR, the Iowa Hawkeyes, traveling, reading, baking, casinos and helping serve food for Sweeting Catering.

Fairl passed away Saturday, Nov.12, 2022, at the Lone Tree Health Care Center in Lone Tree at the age of 95.

She is survived by two daughters: Donna (David) Troyer of Frytown and Margie (Jerry) Sweeting of Riverside; two step children: Marcie (Hank) DeFrance and Tina (Clayton) Hershberger;
seven grandchildren: Jim (Dorelee) Davis, Kenneth Davis, Kellie Nance, Deana Cob, Jeremy (Shelly) Sweeting, Dan (Ashley) Sweeting and Brent Sweeting; 17 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; two husbands: Arlo Kelley and Cedrick Ulin; a brother; numerous sisters; two grandchildren-in-laws: Tammy Davis and Truman Nance.

A funeral mass will be 11 a.m., Thursday, Nov. 17, 2022, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Riverside. Burial will be at a later date at the Wellman Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9-11 a.m. Thursday Nov. 17, 2022, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Lunch will be served after the funeral Mass at the Riverside VFW building. A general memorial fund has been established.
