Iowa State University Extension in Johnson County will present a Farm Lease Meeting Tuesday, August 24, in Montgomery Hall, 4-H Fairgrounds, Iowa City, at 1 p.m.
Are you an absentee landowner and unsure if your current lease arrangement is fair and equitable? In addition, with the forecast of reduced farm income from lower grain prices and smaller transition payments, most farm lease situations need to be reviewed for 1999 says presenter Gary Vogt, Extension Farm Management Specialist. These questions and others will be addressed a the Farm Lease Meeting.
Topics to be discussed are: Johnson County Land Values, 1999 Cash Rent Survey Results, Expected Returns: Crop Share and Cash Rent Leases, Corn and Soybean Price Outlook, Improving Your Farm Lease Contract, and Flexible Lease Arrangements, Methods of Renting Pasture Land.
