The Dayton Masonic Lodge No. 149 of Wellman offers an annual $500 scholarship. Applicants must plan to attend at least a two-year college. Deadline is March 31.
The Grand Lodge of Iowa Masonic, A.F. & A.M. will award a number of scholarships to graduating seniors. Applicants need not have a Masonic connection. Winners will be selected after completing a comprehensive written application and an in-depth personal interview. Principal criteria is service to school and community with special emphasis on leadership. Deadline is February 1.
College-bound seniors interested in broadcasting may apply for the Conclave Scholarship. Applicants must not have had any paid professional broadcasting experience. Deadline is April 14.
Seniors interested in hunting and who support preservation of the hunting tradition may apply for the National Wild Turkey Federation scholarships. Deadline is February 1.
Prospective teachers may apply for the Phi Delta Kappa Scholarship Grants for Prospective Educators. Phi Delta Kappa awards one $2,000 scholarship and 46 $l,000 ones. Deadline is January 31.
Wal-Mart stores have the opportunity to award a $l,000 scholarship in their areas. Recipients are judged on high academic and scholastic achievements, active extracurricular involvement and financial need. Deadline is January 21.
