Born March 9, 1908, in Washington, she was the daughter of Charles G. and Maude (Reeves) Anderson. She attended Pleasant Hill grade school in Washington.
Florence P. Eimen, 91, of Frytown died Saturday, December 25, 1999, in Washington County Hospital, Washington, following a short illness.
Services were Wednesday, December 29, in Peterseim Funeral Home, Kalona, with the Reverend John McCroy officiating.
Born March 9, 1908, in Washington, she was the daughter of Charles G. and Maude (Reeves) Anderson. She attended Pleasant Hill grade school in Washington.
She married Erna Eimen in Iowa City November 30, 1927. Mrs. Eimen did office work for her husband’s businesses, raised honey bees, rabbits and sheep and performed domestic work for families in Iowa City.
Mrs. Eimen enjoyed gardening, flowers, making quilts and caring for her grandchildren
Survivors include one son and his wife, Marvin and Judy Eimen of Frytown; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Viola and Clarence Messenger of Grand Junction, Colorado, and Esther Gray of Washington; one sister-in-law, Marian Anderson of Abilene, Texas; three grandchildren and their spouses, Larry Eimen of Colorado Springs, Colorado; Laura and Doug Becker of Marion; and Michelle and Rodrigo Mon of Coralville; and one great-grandchild, Caitlin Becker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Erna, November 11, 1983; her parents; one sister, Nellie Groff; and three brothers, Lloyd L. Anderson, Charles A. Anderson and Lewis Anderson.
Memorials may be made to Frytown Church of Christ.
