Avery Shalla from Riverside, IA exhibited the Grand Champion 4-H Market steer at the 2022 Iowa State Fair. Avery along with her little brothers Ryland, Mason and Parker all showed their steers and market heifer at the fair. The Shalla family set history when they won division 1, division 2 and division 3 crossbreed steers all shown by one family for the 1st time in state fair history. Avery then went on to win Grand Champion 4-H market steer. Avery’s steer sold in the Sale of Champions breaking another record selling for a all time high of $135,000. Avery is the daughter of Nic and Jayna Shalla of Riverside.
