Jim Vest and Dave Hemsted made it a special night for local drivers at Louisa County Raceway Friday.
The two each won separate feature titles. Vest won his first title in the open-wheel modified class, while Hemsted won his second feature title in the last two weeks in the IMCA stock car class.
Vest led the modified feature from lap one on. Darren Menzer of Washington, David Boyd of Conesville, Bret Campbell of Cosgrove and Donovan Lodge of West Liberty all kept things close until a late-race caution saw Vest take a straight-away lead for the win.
Hemsted battled among several cars in the stock class for his win. Hemsted managed to take the lead on lap 10 and held off a challenge from Brad Pinkerton of New Sharon with two laps to go for the win.
