Hillcrest performs original drama March 24 and 25

Everyone knows the statistic that, on average, people have a bigger fear of public speaking than they do of death. Now, imagine if you were suddenly and unexpectedly called upon to not only speak in public, but to put on a whole play.

That’s the premise for Hillcrest Academy’s upcoming spring drama “The Show Must Go On.” Tailor made for the actors and actresses at the school, this original production combines a little bit of everything into one feel-good comedy that young and old alike will enjoy. The show invites audience members to peruse everything from Shakespeare to classic comedy routines, to children’s stories, to competitive swimming, and so much more!

With an original playscript written by Andrea K. Farrier, the drama will be presented Friday, March 24 at 7:00 p.m. and Saturday, March 25 at 3:00 p.m. In lieu of ticket sales, a freewill donation for a local charity will be accepted instead. Doors will open 30 minutes before each show.
