A hymn sing is set for Sunday, August 29, starting at 6 p.m. in the Pleasant Hill Methodist Church, Joetown.
Mary Forney will be the songster for the program, accompanied by her husband, Tony Brenneman, on the piano. Also performing will be a string quartet arranged by Peter Bixler of Iowa City.
The quartet will play for the Prelude, starting at 6 p.m., as well as during the service.
The program is open to the public and refreshments will be served outdoors afterward.
