The Iowa Department of Transportation (IDOT) will hold a public information meeting July 20, from 5-7 p.m. in the Kalona Community Center to discuss improvements to Iowa Highway 1, between Iowa 92 in Washington and the US 218 interchange near Iowa City.
Personnel will be present to informally discuss the project that will transform Highway 1 into a super two-lane.
All persons interested in the project should attend the meeting. The meeting area is handicap accessible, but if one needs special accommodations, notify Lee Benfield or Gary Hood, Office of Project Planning, 515-239-1626 by July 15 to make arrangements.
