Report of a semi that went into the ditch at Highway 22 and Cedar Avenue, Wellman. It is on its side. No injuries. Driver is out of the semi. A private tow company responded. DNR was contacted due to a diesel fuel leak.
Caller in the 400 block of Seventh Street, Kalona, reports the mother of his child is at the residence and is trying to take the son. The son does not have a coat on. Officers responded. Both subjects came to an agreement to stay there with the child for the day. They were advised of the eviction process and to contact lawyers for custody.
Deputy reports being out with DHS at a residence in the 1500 block of 120th Street, Wellman.
Caller in the 1000 block of Second Street, Wellman, requests a welfare check on a dog that has been outside for three hours. Officers responded and advised the owner that the animal must have food, water and shelter.
Caller reports losing two necklaces while at the Riverside casino. This has been reported to the casino staff. Officer spoke with the caller. They were provided the call for service number to provide their insurance company.
Deputy reports being out with a subject in Riverside, wanted out of Washington County. Washington County deputies and Johnson County deputy responded. Arrested Isaiah James Swantz, 19, unknown address, for violation of probation original charge operating while intoxicated first offense. Bond $1,000 cash only.
