JoAnne F. Waldschmidt, 89, of Riverside, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 12, 2023, at her home in Riverside. A celebration of life service will be held at a later date. A memorial fund has been established at the funeral home in memory of JoAnne. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.sandhfuneralservice.com. JoAnne Fay Musser was born April 11, 1933, in Lone Tree, the daughter of Faye William “Bill” and Ethel Marie (Gosenberg) Musser. She was a 1951 graduate of Lone Tree High School. 

In February of 1953, JoAnne was united in marriage to Richard Bernard Waldschmidt at St. Mary’s catholic Church in Riverside. She was the Riverside City Clerk for 25 years. 

She enjoyed swimming, becoming a water aerobics instructor, sewing, thrift and antique shopping and was quite lucky at the casino.

JoAnne will be deeply missed by her children: Kenneth (Lori) Waldschmidt of Riverside, Kevin Waldschmidt of Des Moines, Kathy (Dave) Roberts of Ainsworth and Colleen (Tim) Reed of Denver, Colorado; seven grandchildren: Michael (Melissa Champion) Waldschmidt, Jonathan (Bianca) Waldschmidt, Ryan Reed, Sean Reed, Zach (Callyn) Roberts, Rosalind (Michael) Cavin and Tara Waldschmidt; three great-grandchildren: Holden Cavin, Leyland Cavin and Verena Cavin; and one sister: Sharon keeler of Riverside.

JoAnne was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one brother: Bill Musser; and daughter-in-law: Kim Waldschmidt.
