FORMAL MEETING MINUTES
NOVEMBER 18, 2024
Chairperson Sullivan called the Johnson County Board of Supervisors to order in the Johnson County Health and Human Services Boardroom at 11:01 a.m. Members present: V Fixmer-Oraiz*, Jon Green, Lisa Green-Douglass*, Royceann Porter, and Rod Sullivan.

All actions were taken unanimously.
PUBLIC COMMENT: No business.
The Board acknowledged receipt of the request for Recount of Votes from Christina Bohannan for the Office of United States Representative District 1. County Auditor Julie Persons outlined a proposed timeline aimed at ensuring the recount is carried out accurately and efficiently.
Motion by Green, second by Porter, pursuant to Iowa Code § 50.48 (1)(a), to direct the Johnson County Auditor acting as the County Commissioner of Elections, to conduct a recount of the votes cast for the Office of the United States Representative District 1 in all precincts in Johnson County for the 2024 General Election. This action shall constitute a written order for all purposes where a written order for the recount to the County Commissioner of Elections is required from the County Board of Canvassers.
