Julie Anne Fisher was born March 20, 1959, to Clarence and Rhelma (Martin) Evans. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She graduated from Sheldon High School and continued her studies at Omaha College of Health Careers. Julie and Dan Fisher were united in marriage on April 18, 1981 in Sheldon, Iowa.

Julie worked as a Dental Assistant at the University of Iowa College of Dentistry, where she found great joy in sharing her knowledge of dental care. She had a passion for teaching and mentoring dental students, offering them not only her expertise but also her warmth and compassion.

In her personal life, Julie found peace in her garden and delighted in cultivating beautiful blooms. Her greatest joy, however, was spending time with her family and close friends, cherishing each moment and creating lasting memories.

Surrounded by her family, Julie passed away on Sunday, October 27, 2024 at her home after bravely facing a battle with cancer.

Julie is lovingly remembered by her husband Dan Fisher of Iowa City, four children: Senica (Jennifer) Fisher of Marion, Tobin (Grant Tillman) Fisher of Ypsilanti, MI., Quentin (Jenna) Fisher of North Liberty, Rudin (Annika Detweiler) of Atlanta, Georgia; five grandchildren: Gracelyn, Beckett, Reid, Evan and Kyla, a brother: George (Liz) Evans of Minnesota, two sisters Toni (Denny) Clemens of Omaha and Emily Peterson of Sheldon.

A sweet and caring person whose strength touched the lives of everyone around her would be one way to describe Julie.
