Members of the Kalona Chamber of Commerce will be accepting food from the general public for the Kalona Food Pantry during the month of February, according to Chamber director Tonia Poole. Items requested by the pantry include canned meats, cereal, canned fruit, soup, canned vegetables (no green beans or corn), hamburger helper and tuna helper.
Businesses and organizations receiving donations will be listed in next week’s News, courtesy of the Kalona Chamber of Commerce. Items can be left at the Chamber, 514 B Avenue, or The News office, 419 B Avenue, or check with the Chamber until the complete list of participating merchants is announced next week.
