The Kalona Optimist had a very successful blood donor day at the Kalona Mennonite Church on Monday, Jan. 9.
“We had 67 units which will impact 201 people in Washington County and the surrounding region,” reported Deana Poe of the Optimist Club. “Also, there were four first time donors so hopefully they will get in the habit of coming to the blood drive. It is quite a social event for our Amish folks who always donate in good numbers.”
Kalona Optimist Club Vice President Ron Slechta would like to thank all who donated.
The next donor day handled by ImpactLife in Kalona will be July 10.
