There will be an ice cream social on July 24 for the Kalona Library Foundation.
Larry Moeller introduced Eldon Miller from Kalona, who is legally blind. He told us that he became that way at 21 years of age from ammunition in Vietnam.
The V.A. Hospital helps with his needs. He has learned to water ski and snow ski. He plays golf and helps set up golf for other people who are legally blind. He has over 130 volunteers in 42 states who help blind people. He works on tractors for Bill Chapek in Riverside.
The program for this week will be by Doug Morgan.
