Katie A. Yoder, 88, formerly of County Line Road, Shreve, Ohio, died Monday, June 28, 1999 in Walnut Hills Retirement Center.
Services were Friday, July 2, in Martins Creek Mennonite Church with the Reverend Don Hamsher officiating. Burial was in Moorhead Mennonite Cemetery.
Born April 10, 1911 in Holmes County, she was the daughter of Absolem D. and Fannie J. (Shetler) Mullet. She married Alvin N. Yoder January 10, 1935. He died March 9, 1995.
Mrs. Yoder was a quilter at Des Dutch Essenhaus in Shreve and along with her husband, had worked at Shreve Laundromat.
She was a member of Moorhead Mennonite Church where she was active with the Women’s Missionary Service Committee.
Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Anna Aileen and Titus Bender of New Hope, Virginia; three sons and three daughters-in-law, Paul and Ann Yoder of Harrisonburg, Virginia, Marion and Eleanor Yoder of Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, and Verton and Cheryl Yoder of Wooster, Ohio; one foster daughter and her son, Ruby and Roy Miller, Millersburg, Ohio; twelve grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one sister and brother-in-law, Ella A. and Paul Yoder, Walnut Creek, Ohio; and three brothers and sisters-in-law, Henry A. and Eudora Mullet, Kalona, Ervin A. and Ella Mullet, Shipsewana, Indiana, and Jacob A. and Susie Mullet of Millersburg.
She was preceded in death by her husband, one sister, Anna Weaver, and two brothers, Simon A. Mullet and Dan A. Mullet.
