KCTC fiber internet speeds increase at no cost to members

Kalona Cooperative Technology Company announced that it has refined and increased internet speeds provided to residential and business cooperative members. Similar to previous years where increases were put in place, these improvements are being made at no additional cost to customers.

“We have witnessed an impressive increase in internet usage each year.” said Casey Peck, KCTC General Manager. “When the rates we pay are adjusted for purchasing more bandwidth for KCTC internet users, we pass that additional value on to our customers through a speed increase. Our catalog of internet speeds has also seen improvements this year with: symmetrical uploads; a simplified choice of speeds being offered; a reduction in rate for 1 Gig; and we’ll be offering 2 Gig service to business customers in the coming months.”

The Power package (75Mbps/75Mbps) will become KCTC Fiber 100 (100Mbps/100Mbps).  The Family package (250Mbps/150Mbps) will become KCTC Fiber 250 (250Mbps/250Mbps).  The Platinum package (400Mbps/250Mbps) will become KCTC Fiber 500 (500Mbps/500Mbps).  The Gig package (1000Mbps/500Mbps) will become KCTC Fiber GIG (1000Mbps/500Mbps), the price of which will be reduced from $169.99 to $159.99 per month with a 3-year agreement.

The speed increases and rate changes will go into effect on January 1st, 2023. For additional information call 319-656-3668, go to KCTC.net, or visit either location in; Kalona – 510 B Ave, or Washington – 112 South Ave B.
