The Lone Tree girls set nine new personal records on the way to a third-place finish at Winfield-Mount Union on Thursday.
Rylee Shield was one of five Lady Lions who set a new career-best in the 100-meter dash with a third-place time of 13.50. Alex Dautremont, Haley Bockelman, Bailey McGrew and Arlie Lorack also set new personal records in the event.
Shield also finished second in the 200-meter dash and won the open 400-meter race with a finish of 1:08.90 in the strong winds. Vivian Zaruba battled the wind for seven and half laps to win the 3000-meter run by over 23 seconds.
Kasey Chown won the long jump with a leap of 4-6 and Cate Sexton was third in the long jump with a distance of 13-4.5.
The Lone Tree sprint medley of Lexi Norris, Chown, Norris, and Shield finished second to Mediapolis with a time of 2:08.48. Lone Tree took third in the distance medley and the 4x200-meter relay.
The Lady Lions finished with 86 points, 13 points ahead of fourth-place Mediapolis. Danville was the meet champion with 137 and Louisa-Muscatine had 112.
