Dear Editor,

If you are reading this letter, you already have an interest in FFA. As a parent of two FFA members, I have seen many opportunities offered, leadership roles strengthened, and confidence built in the young adults that have participated. I was not an FFA member, but have become an Alumni member because I have seen the great things FFA has to offer and wanted to be a part of this.

The purpose of this letter is to ask that you, too, consider becoming an FFA Alumni Member. The only requirements for becoming a member are that you are interested in supporting FFA and agricultural education.

The Mid-Prairie Chapter has accomplished many great things, and in order to continue in the same fashion, support of this organization is very important. The new Ag. Ed. instructor will be starting her new position before fall, and it is important that she has support to make her transition easier. Budget cuts within the school district will very likely affect this program, which is another important reason the Alumni is seeking a larger membership.

The Mid-Prairie FFA Alumni supports the Mid-Prairie Chapter by providing a scholarship to the Washington Leadership Conference, providing support to the instructor, funding awards, helping to supervise or chaperone members for various events, and holding fund raising activities to help ensure miscellaneous needs of the chapter will be met.

Please consider joining the FFA Alumni and becoming a part of a great organization with much to offer our students.

Sincerely,

Chris Huston
