The regular meeting of the Limecreek Livewires 4-H Club was held on Monday, June 14th at 8 p.m. at St. Joseph’s Church in Wellman. There were 21 members present and three guests. Roll call was to name your county fair entries. The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Shane Miller.

Two members gave their presentations at the meeting. They were Jorey TeBockhorst, Gun Safety, and Mike Norman, Beef Cuts. The date for the local Achievement Show is July 12 at 12:30 at Asbury United Methodist Church in Wellman.

A representative of KCII radio attended the meeting and interviewed each member about the upcoming county fair. These interviews will be played on KCII between now and county fair time.

Members signed up for county presentations and extemporaneous speaking, which will be at the Washington Community Center on July 14.

Members learned that swine projects need to weigh 220-290 lbs. this year and beef projects must be tattooed.

Hosts for the meeting were Mike Hendricks and Michael Huston.

A family potluck was held on June 6 at noon at the Wellman Park. Good food was shared by all attending. Unfortunately, the Club Tour, which was to follow the potluck, was canceled due to poor weather.

The next monthly meeting will be held on July 12th at 8 p.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Wellman.
