Linda Ann Eimen, 75, of Temple, Texas, passed away Sunday, May 4, 2025.

Linda Ann (Okerlund) Eimen was born in Alexandria, Minnesota, Sept. 9, 1949, to Earl and Mildred Okerlund. She grew up with her two sisters, Kathy and Pam, and her brother Larry. She and Kathy were always close and loved cooking with their mother and playing with dolls. They remained best friends even as adults.

Linda attended St. Cloud Beauty School after graduating from high school. She moved to Minneapolis, where she worked as a hair stylist, a job she was great at because of her impeccable style and great care for others. In 1972, she met Peter Eimen. They married at Zion Lutheran Church in Alexandria, Minnesota in 1973. The couple lived in Minneapolis where their daughters, Kristin and Beth, were both born. Linda made many doll clothes and other craft projects for her girls. She also continued to work part time as a hair stylist.

In 1987 the family moved to Temple, Texas. Linda’s first and favorite job was being a mother. She volunteered at her daughters’ schools and was always willing to bake for any event. She loved taking them shopping and helping them with their hair and clothes. She was constantly coming up with fun things the three of them could do together. When her girls got older, she worked at several nursing homes as a hair stylist for the residents. It was important to her to bring beauty and joy to the lives of the people she worked with. She took time to talk with them and would often bring them cookies or special gifts.

Linda’s greatest joy in life was showing love and care to others, especially her family. She was always cooking someone’s favorite meal or dessert, and she loved decorating her home. She enjoyed hosting holiday dinners and parties and always made those around her feel loved and cared for. Every year she made an unbelievable variety of Christmas cookies and candies that she always shared. Linda was adored by her grandchildren. They loved all the special treats and attention they got at her house.

She enjoyed gardening and always had a beautiful yard, no matter the season. She was very artistic and took great care in making beautiful gifts for friends and family. After she retired, Linda spent numerous years volunteering for The Thursday Club, an Alzheimer’s respite program. Linda also enjoyed the many road trips the family took to visit national parks and extended family in the Midwest. Pete and Linda frequently traveled to Michigan and other favorite locations in Colorado and Utah. They loved visiting family and would often make a scenic road trip out of those visits.

Linda will be missed immeasurably by her husband: Pete; daughter: Kristin Thomas and her husband Max of Pflugerville; daughter: Beth Wells and her husband Travis of Lubbock; and four grandchildren: Grant and Lily Thomas and Logan and Laney Wells. She will also be loved and remembered by her siblings: Kathy Schuettpelz and husband Will (Amy and Andy), Pam Mans and husband Greg (Angela, Jennifer, and Sarah), and Larry Okerlund and wife Bonnie (Jeremy, Jacob, and Simone); and many other beloved family and friends.
