Lois Gayle Marner was born May 26, 1934, in rural Parnell, Iowa, the daughter of John and Lydia (Yoder) Marner. She graduated from IMS. Lois lived in Colorado Springs and moved to Kalona in August of 2011. Lois worked at Pin Rose Hospital in Colorado Springs, Colorado for 25 years as a house keeper, nurses aide and data entry. She enjoyed puzzles, reading, her doll collection, and the mountains.
Lois passed away at Heritage Specialty Care in Cedar Rapids on Jan. 7, 2022, at the age of 87 years.
Lois is survived by a sister: Elizabeth (Joe) Kanagy of Wellman; two brothers: Clair (Juanita) Marner of Indiana and Marvin (Helen) Marner of Hills; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; twin sister: Lucille Grace; sister: Verda Irene Marner; and a brother: Lowell Dean Marner.
A family graveside will be held at a later date in the West Union Cemetery, rural Parnell.
