The Board of Directors of the Lone Tree Community School District workshop was called to order by President Sladek at 6:30 p.m., November 6, 2024, in the District Office.

SCIENCE CURRICULUM
Discussion held on remainder of High School science kits now being available for purchase from the vendor. District will move forward with purchase.
PRESCHOOL PROGRAM HANDBOOK
Principal Jacque presented changes to the Preschool Program Handbook that will appear on the November regular meeting for Board approval. These changes are in preparation for the preschool desk audit.
CURRICULUM OVERVIEW
Discussion held on implementation of math, science, and Spanish purchases, closing potential curriculum gaps for social studies and literacy to maintain structure and content if staff leave the District, budget for Districtwide purchases, elementary researching social studies options, and planning ahead for science kit availability through the AEA.
BOARD POLICY 501.9.R1 CHRONIC ABSENTEEISM – REGULATION (FIRST REVIEW)
Board reviewed new policy 501.9.R1 in preparation for first reading at November regular meeting.
POLICY PRIMER VOL. 33 #1 (FIRST REVIEW)
Board reviewed policy primer updates in preparation for first reading at November regular meeting.
BOARD POLICY 103, 104, AND 105 (SECOND REVIEW)
Board reviewed updating policies 103, 104 and 105 in preparation for second reading at November regular meeting due to Department of Education desk review.
BOARD POLICY 804.6 & 804.6.R1 (SECOND REVIEW)
Board reviewed new policies 804.6 and 804.6.R1 in preparation for second reading at November regular meeting.
SWOT ANALYSIS
Discussion held on Board directed SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) analysis. Board provided comments and considerations in the areas of District opportunities and threats. Detailed conversations held on communication and parent/student involvement.
FUTURE AGENDA TOPICS
Discussion held on future agenda topics of annual meeting, update on professional development Mondays, 2025-2026 District calendar, Superintendent mid-year review, 2025 summer projects, HVAC update, preschool, renewal of Instructional Support Levy, and graduation/early graduation requirements.
