The Lone Tree boys basketball team played the Columbus Wildcats for their opening matchup of the season.
The Lions won 65-59.
Columbus jumped to an early 17-10 lead before Lone Tree surged back to take a 29-27 halftime lead.
After a back-and-forth third, Lone Tree took control of the game to secure the opening win. Sophomore Reece Holbrook hit three 3-point shots to help maintain the win.
Lone Tree will next play on Thursday, Nov. 30, when they travel to Keota to take on the Eagles.
